Children-youth festival ''Christmas holidays" opens in Lviv. This spectacular event is attended by 180 amateur groups from Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Makiivka, Mariupol and other cities and towns of Ukraine. The festival is held in the framework of the "East and West are together" campaign. Everydody in Lviv invited over 3 thousand children from East Ukraine, the Ukrainian Radio told.

Ice palace under construction in Mykolayv. The construction is to be finished in May 2007. A ceremony of its opening and names of honorary guests to participate in it are discussed already now. Some world hockey and figure skating stars are expected to attend.
