Russia abandoned Ukrainian meat

Russia banned import of meat from Ukraine.

Federal service of veterinary inspectorate of Russia explained the ban by a threat posed by imported Ukrainian products of unknown origin. UNIAN informed.

As a reminder, December 30 Russia suspended import of meat production, delivered to Russia via territory of Ukraine.

As reported in Russian agricultural inspectors, it was connected with serious violations of supply rules and Russian veterinary requirements.

Russian agricultural inspectors reminded that recently a consignment of meat weighing 150 tons had been detained at the border with Ukraine. The load was being delivered under forged documents and the meat could not be even identified.
