The EU hails gas agreement between Russia and Ukraine


The European Union hails signing of gas agreement between Russia and Ukraine, but still wants to discuss the issue of gas supply to Europe, as declared Martin Bartenstein, Economy Minister of Austria.

The EU continues discussing reliability of gas supply to Europe and situation with Russia. “We would like to hear the countries’ opinion about gas storage. This is another important issue, though not so urgent,” said Bartenstein to journalists before the meeting with the EU energy experts, LIGA informed.

Today the EU representatives intend to discuss damage, caused to the EU countries by reduction of Russian gas supply, volume of consumed gas in Europe and means of its storage.
