Kinakh: Russian gas is inadmissible luxury

Ukraine can not venture to buy gas at $160 for a cubic meter, as national economy will face the prospect of damage, Anatoly Kinakh, Secretary of National Security and Defense Council, said in an interview to “Seychas”.

Kinakh noted that, taking into account that Turkmen gas is transported via Russian territory, Russia supplies is with 80% of oil and 75% of gas. “This is very high level of dependence,” declared Kinakh.

”And what is more, power intensity of our GDP, even taking into account shadow economy, is two-three times higher than power intensity of products in Central and Eastern Europe. It is inadmissible luxury for us,” added Kinakh.
