Ukraine’s Justice Ministry to be charged with media registration

On March 1, 2006 the Justice Ministry of Ukraine will register mass media and information agencies instead of outgoing State Committee on Television and Radio which has been charged with it for several years.

Today the corresponding resolution “On State Registration of Printed Media and Information Agencies” has been passed by the Cabinet of Ukraine.

The State Committee on TV and Radio has been ordered to pass all registration data base to the Justice Ministry.
