Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov postponed his visit to Ukraine

Yesterday Ukraine’s PM Yuri Yekhanurov and the Chairman of Russian Government Mikhail Fradkov discussed the gas transit problem by phone. They agreed to activate the negotiations on Russian gas supply to Ukraine and the transit through Ukraine in 2006, Russian Foreign Ministry’s press service told.

As it was defined, Fradkov’s visit will depend on the final decision regarding Russian gas for Ukraine.

Besides, the high officials focused on the cooperation in the trade economic and energy spheres and considered the pressing issues of bilateral relationship.

As a reminder, Russian Chairman of the Government Mikhail Fradkov postponed his visit to Kyiv because of unsolved gas problem.
