Kiev Court hears Piskun vs. Yushchenko case

Kiev Court holds preliminary trial of ex-Prosecutor General Piskun’s claim against President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko.

Svyatoslav Piskun tries to challenge his dismissal signed by President of Ukraine on October 14, 2005. Ex-Prosecutor claims that the absence of the reason of his dismissal is the serious violation of the law.

The President of Ukraine is represented by Justice Minister Sergey Golovaty. Chief-of-Staff Oleg Rybachuk stated that the case would be won by the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko.
