Ukraine's Labour Minister Ivan Sakhan urges cardinal changes in labor system


Labour Minister Ivan Sakhan stated that 11 million workers pay allocations to the Pension Fund of Ukraine but the number of pensioners is greater than this – over 13 million – so, it rules out Pension Fund to reach stability.

This situation need to be urgently changed, Sakhan noted. He claimed urgent changes of remuneration labour system.

However, in comparison with the same period of the last year, Ukrainian citizens' incomes grew by almost 44% over 2005's nine months

Minister Sakhan disclosed stressed that new policies halving the social tax would be launched in January, 2006.
