President speaks with Vladimir Putin


Victor Yushchenko spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin. They discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and achievements of working groups within the Yushchenko – Putin Committee.

Appreciating the current Ukrainian-Russian dialogue, Yushchenko and Putin said it was necessary to intensify intergovernmental contacts. They agreed that the two governments should focus on issues that primarily concern citizens of Russia and Ukraine.

The sides also spoke about ways to simplify customs procedures.
