Ukraine is ready to boost electric power exports to Moldova


Ukraine is ready to increase electric power exports to Moldova, Ukraine's senior vice PM Anatoly Kinakh was quoted as saying after a meeting of a bilateral commission for commercial and economic cooperation. He said that Moldova was suffering a certain electric power shortage, for it produced enough energy to satisfy only 70 % of its needs. In Ukraine, on the contrary, the situation is favorable, especially so after two more units of nuclear power plants were put into service, RBC reported.

In addition, the parties agreed, that
Moldova would supply Ukraine with documentation for oil terminal construction in Giurgiulesti for environment impact assessment within a month.

Ukraine
exports electrical energy to Moldova together with Russia.
