Kovalenko will stop Crimean Tatars

The leader of Ukrainian National Assembly (UNA), Eduard Kovalenko, being in prison, declared about his intention to stand up against seizure of land by Tatars.

"Our first step of solving this problem will be a pitching the tents in those areas where seizure is occurred. If Tatars oppress Slavic people, UNA division and UNA activists will come and provide every possible aid, legal aspect and armed protection including," mentioned Kovalenko, "UNIAN" reported.

In his opinion, "medzlis is not a legitime organ and does not even have any state status; it works out the plans about seizure the land: concrete territories, dates, addresses of buildings for occupation, the identities persons who will be evicted."

According to his words, the seizure of the territories is the obvious and well-known fact in Crimea, a kind of system; the status of forcibly displaced nation became a kind of immunity for Crimean Tatars. They seize someone’s privacy, demonstrating the disrespect of other nations living in Crimea.”

We remind that Shevchenko Regional Court of Kiev prolonged the arrest of Kovalenko for ten days in order to find out the details of his outrage in front of Kiev municipal administration. On April 30, unknown people attacked the camp near the administration. Police considered Kovalenko to be an organizer of the outrage. If his guilt is proved, he will be sentenced to four year of prison.
