Nastya Ovchar will sleep 2 months


Now the state of Nastya Ovchar is stable, the Ukrainian ombudsman Nina Karpacheva revealed to journalists, ForUm’s correspondent reported.

According to her, the girl is in state of "periodic medicinal sleep", and will stay like this about two months.

She underlined that American doctors which performed the transplant operation for spinal part of the body and thorax of the child, especially appreciated quality of work of the Ukrainian medical specialists which performed operation in Ukrainian clinics.

According to Karpacheva, Nastya, her mother and three Ukrainian physicians stay in the USA now. Ministry of Health of Ukraine finances the stay of physicians; treatment of Nastya makes 1 million dollars for 6 months of stay in the hospital. Karpacheva underlined also, that the residence and feed of Nastya’s mother was paid at the expense of the hospital.

As reported before, little Ukrainian heroine Nastya Ovchar was operated in Boston.

We remind, on March, 15 in the village Vorontsovka of the Kharkov region five-year-old Nastya with the two-year-old sister Luda were staying at home alone when the fire happened in the house. At first the senior sister tried to extinguish a fire singly. Having understood, that it was above her strength, Nastya, shielding the sister by own body, took her away from blazing house. As a result of tragedy Nastya had got 80% of third-degree burn.
