Lucenko withdraws troops from the Donetsk region

Minister of internal affairs of Ukraine Yurij Lucenko made decision to halt before the appointed time helping the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

The commander of Internal Forces of MIA the lieutenant-general Alexander Kihtenko declared on Tuesday meeting concerning sizing up of Internal troops’ of MIA work that additional forces would be withdrawn from these regions.

According to him, it concerns the fact that on March, 26 the professional holiday of the internal troops is celebrated, and all parts must arrive to their permanent post.

As reported before, on February, 26 a few subdivisions of IF of MIA of Ukraine left for the Donetsk region to conduct measures for public discipline defence. According to the minister of internal affairs Yurij Lucenko, these subdivisions should have stayed in the region for two months.
