Shufrich denies information about commencement of prosecution against him

The PM Nestor Shufrich refuted information that Office of public prosecutor of the Gooseevsky district of Kiev allegedly brought an action against him concerning an infliction of bodity injuries to the main consultant of VRU Committee charged with fight against organized crime Pavel Barnatsky.

"Now my advocates and my helpers are engaged in the preliminary study of this case. We now apply to Office of public prosecutor with the requirement about bringing this person to account for slander", - Shufrich declared.

In turn, Shufrich made a decision to appeal to Security Service of Ukraine with a request to bring an action against the deputy Karmazin and his helpers. Shufrich accused them of assassination attempt.

He reported that on October, 6, 2004 the deputy Karmazin and his helpers had pushed Shufrich in a shop-window and if colleagues from faction of SDPU (u) and "Regions of Ukraine" did not help him, the glass of the broken window "could cut off some parts of body or even to kill".
