"Cheerful" Chernomirdin remains in Ukraine

Minister of foreign affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov wishes the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador of Russia in Ukraine Victor Chernomirdin further successes on diplomatic arena.

Answering the question whether Chernomirdin could be dismissed from the post of ambassador of Russia in Ukraine, Lavrov marked that Victor Chernomirdin worked in Ukraine for a long time. "Chernomirdin is cheerful, full of strength, and I wish him health and successes", - Lavrov admitted.

As reported before, in the near future the ambassador of Russia in Ukraine Victor Chernomirdin would be recalled from Kiev. Alexander Lebedev, "deputy and lucky Russian banker and businessman", could take seat of ambassador. Except for him, two other names were announced - representative of Russian president in Privoljsky federal district Sergey Kirienko and career diplomat, deputy of minister of foreign affairs of Russia Valery Loshchinin.
