Ukrainian became the biathlon champion of Europe


The Ukrainian Oksana Hvostenko became the biathlon champion of Europe in competitions which took place in Novosibirsk.

Hvostenko became the winner in woman race on 10 kilometers, having come to finish with large advantage above other prizewinners of competitions. Ukrainian, assuming only one miss in four firing-lines, passed ahead of the Russian Irene Malgina on 53,6 seconds, who became the second (2 misses). Bronze prizewinner of race is the leader of Russian national team in this championship Anna Bogalij.

The winner of sprinter race, having got "gold" on Europe championship in the first day of competitions in Novosibirsk, the Russian Svetlana Chernousova took the fifth place only, assuming 5 misses in firing.
