Timoshenko will investigate privatization of 3 thousand enterprises


A government will revise legality of privatization of more than three thousand enterprises, verification results of which were given by General Office of Public Prosecutor for the last five years. 

According to prime minister of Ukraine Julia Timoshenko, three thousand criminal cases were instituted against all these enterprises, but then illegally closed "by telephone call". "The top management of the state covered these criminal offences during privatization - absence of competition during privatization, diminished prices of objects. Children' camps, wonderful industrial enterprises were undersold", - Timoshenko underlined. 

Prime minister reported also, that on today's meeting of Cabinet, a government and general Prosecution coordinated their actions. "For every enterprise, where violations are revealed, we will accept a plan to get back what was taken by deception and corruption", - marked head of government. 

She reported also, that these materials would be analyzed by Department of Justice and given to Court. 

Timohenko specified, that "today nobody can name the amount of objects which will pass to state". “There is a fact, that violations took place during privatization, and there are courts which must consider these questions».
