Melnichenko, Eliashkevich and Sholoh searche the ways of return to Ukraine

Ex-guard of the president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma Nickolai Melnichenko, former PM Alexander Eliashkevich and Kiev broadcasting station «Continent» proprietor Sergey Sholoh met the ambassador of Ukraine in the USA Michael Resnik for solving the question about coming back to native country.

We remind that after victory of «orange revolution» they declared about the desire to leave The USA and go back to Ukraine.

Four of them discussed the variants of return, and also the possibility of personal meeting with the president Victor Yushchenko during his visit to the USA, «Interfax-Ukraine» informs.

Eliashkevich declares that main question for today is to give political refugees an opportunity to come back to Ukraine.

Return terms, named by Melnichenko, Eliashkevich and Sholoh are, first of all, their recognition as political refugees which were forced to abandon motherland because of their life and life of their family members threat. Secondly, they expect from the General prosecution of Ukraine the detailed investigation of Kuchma’s crimes, information about which they have. And thirdly, they hope to get compensation for the moral and material damage from the former president of Ukraine
