Deputy of Verhovna Rada of Ukraine Victor Zaichko considers that absence of heat supply in Sevastopol is the result of political repressions from new power side.
«I consider that the happening events in Sevastopol is a reaction of new government on Sevastopol’s choice during elections - asserts Zaichko. PM pointed out that Sevastopol does not have debts for energy carrier, however heat supply is still absent in the city, “New Region Crimea” reports.
«Kiev has debts for gas at the rate of more than 70 million and for electric power more than 10 million grivnas, however there is heating and hot water round-the-clock », - Zaichko wonders.
Deputy reported that he personally informed the prime minister of Ukraine Timoshenko Julia, National Safety and Defense Council about the existing situation. Zaichko also said that he negotiated with Timoshenko about the necessity of financing the defenders of Sevastopol on a cape Crystal memorial building. City authorities declared about importance of monument building in the year of 60’s anniversary of victory over fascist Germany. «I was assured that it would be done. I will not retell you the whole talk meanwhile. I used a dictaphone in case the promise would not be fulfilled», - pointed out PM.
Victor Zaichko is in faction “Popular Democratic Party”. In spite of hard criticism from Victor Yushchenko side during election campaign, Zaichko supported the candidature of Timoshenko Julia on the post of prime minister.
As reported, ten deputies of Sevastopol city council declared starvation in view of heating absence. According to statement of starvation organizers, the PMs decided not to leave the small hall of city council until city authorities would not provide inhabitants with the heat.
To deputies’ opinion 2 million cubic meters of gas are required for undisturbed operation, but city gets just 60 percent.
The deputies declared an extraordinary situation in town a week ago, but situation did not become better. To deputies’ opinion absence of agreement between Sevastopol heat station and “Oil-gas Ukraine” organization causes this situation. Today two of four districts are fully off the heat supply in Sevastopol. As a result, more than half of schools and nurseries schools do not work. At other schools lessons are brief to 30 minutes.
